Terms & Conditions

Used Engine Warranty

At OEMTRONIC, we provide a limited warranty for our used engines, covering the engine block and cylinder head assembly only. Please note that accessories and external components are not covered under this warranty. These include, but are not limited to:

  • Fuel injection systems
  • Carburetors
  • Intake and exhaust manifolds
  • Distributors and alternators
  • Emission control devices and smog components
  • Timing belts and related components (tensioners, idlers)
  • Timing covers, water pumps, thermostats
  • Valve covers, oil pans, and oil pickup tubes
  • Sensors, switches, pulleys
  • Turbochargers and intercoolers (if applicable)
  • Flexplates or flywheels

These parts must be replaced or transferred from your original engine prior to installation. Labor charges are not covered under any circumstances.

Warranty Disclaimer:

Our warranty solely covers the performance of the used engine—not its appearance. Cosmetic imperfections such as rust, scratches, or dents may be present and are not considered defects.

Installation & Maintenance Requirements:

To validate your used engine warranty, the following steps must be completed before or during installation:

  1. Drain and refill engine oil to manufacturer-specified levels
  2. Replace:
    • Oil filter, air filter, and fuel filter
    • Valve cover gasket
    • Oil pan gasket and rear main seal
    • Timing gears, chains, or belts and related gaskets (if needed)
    • Thermostat and all engine gaskets
    • Front and rear seals, including camshaft seals
    • Water pump and oil sending units
  3. Flush and refill the cooling system
  4. Install:
    • New spark plugs and wires
    • New belts and hoses

Heat tabs must remain intact. Tampering or removal of heat tabs will void the warranty.

You must retain proof of parts replacement and service, such as a valid invoice from a licensed repair shop. Handwritten receipts are not accepted.

Warranty Coverage Duration:

OEMTRONIC offers a standard 90-day limited warranty on all used engines unless stated otherwise in writing.

Warranty Exclusions

Warranty will be void under the following conditions:

  • Improper or DIY installation not performed by a certified mechanic
  • Installation in a modified or non-OEM-spec vehicle
  • Failure to replace required parts prior to installation
  • Operating the engine without proper lubrication or cooling
  • Failure to perform necessary tune-ups, adjustments, or replacements

OEMTRONIC reserves the right to inspect returned parts and deny warranty claims if the above procedures were not followed.

Used Transmission Warranty

OEMTRONIC’s used transmission warranty guarantees the transmission will shift properly and that all gears and bearings are in working condition. Labor costs are not covered.

Installation Requirements to Validate Warranty:
  1. Replace all transmission seals
  2. Install a new filter kit
  3. Flush and inspect all cooling lines
  4. Properly align and engage the torque converter into the front pump
  5. Fill with manufacturer-specified transmission fluid
  6. Clear all transmission-related computer codes before use
  7. Adjust throttle position sensor and cables as needed

Failure to perform and document these steps will void the warranty.

Returns, Replacements & Refunds:

If a return or replacement is authorized by OEMTRONIC:

  • The part must be returned in the exact condition it was originally shipped.
  • No refunds will be issued for parts returned in altered, damaged, or disassembled condition.
  • Refunds are only issued if a suitable replacement is unavailable.
  • Unauthorized disassembly or modification of the engine/transmission voids the warranty—no exceptions.

In the case of a total mechanical failure, the buyer may be eligible to replace only the failed components or the entire unit, depending on part availability. If a replacement is unavailable, OEMTRONIC reserves the right to reimburse the value of the defective component.

Only one replacement is covered under this warranty. Shipping and freight costs are the buyer's responsibility.
